A Region - A friend
Images as a visiting card. It is important that Friuli-Venezia Giulia should be able to provide its guests with an image of the Region, giving a friendly welcome and showing what it has to offer in terms of tourist attractions, culture and environment. From the Alps to the sea, just a hundred kilometres apart, the visitor can discover a whole range of fascinating routes leading to holiday resorts, unspoilt natural beauty spots and places of historical and artistic significance. The authentic expression of folk and craft traditions, the genuine tastes of local produce and the carefree atmosphere of holiday centres are just a few of the Region's attractions. All of them can easily be reached by road, rail, air or sea. This documentary's rapid sequence of images guides us through a wealth of features, covering the Region's provincial capitals, industry and science and technology. A European Region in north-east Italy, bordering on Austria and Slovenia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia is making big strides down the road of development and cooperation, in which it wishes to be a Region and A Friend to everybody
