Food security and nutrition are top priorities for European citizens, and the agriculture and food sector is the continent's leading economic sector. From cultivated fields to livestock farms, from the food processing industry to conservation methods, science and technology play an important role in making sure the food that reaches our table is safe and monitored. Trieste's Area Science Park hosts numerous research and development activities dedicates to these issues.
